The Clinic for Internal Medicine at Einbeck's Bürgerspital (EBS) is getting a new head: Dr. Ingo Neumann, a head physician with many years of professional experience, is coming to Einbeck. Most recently, the 59-year-old specialist in internal medicine and gastroenterology, occupational medicine and emergency medicine worked at the AMEOS Clinic in Alfeld. "I am extremely pleased that we have been able to recruit Dr. Ingo Neumann," emphasises EBS Managing Director Tim Wozniak. "Dr. Neumann is not only an outstanding doctor, he is also very popular with his patients, who come from a wide area." Dr. Neumann will move to the Einbecker Bürgerspital and will bring colleagues from Alfeld with him, while he has already been able to recruit external staff for the role at EBS.
At EBS, patients can now expect all the services required for the optimal treatment of acute and chronic internal diseases in its department. In addition to the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological and cardiological conditions, these include diseases of the bronchi and lungs, the haematopoietic organs, the kidneys as well as metabolic and infectious diseases. Internal intensive care medicine, including respiratory medicine, is another focus of the department.
"We have also used the arrival of Dr Neumann and his team to renew and expand our medical technology, particularly for the functional areas and gastroenterology. We have also invested heavily in the digitalisation of our imaging. This now enables us to quickly and securely transfer findings to the digital patient file so that this information can be accessed by everyone involved in the treatment process at any time," reports Wozniak. This purchase was made possible in part by the seed manufacturer KWS from Einbeck, which supports the Einbecker Bürgerspital (EBS) with a sponsorship.
"This is an excellent start for my team and me," says a delighted Dr Ingo Neumann. "We are looking forward to the tasks that lie ahead and to caring for our patients."
Dr Neumann was born in Kiel, studied in Cologne and spent many years of his professional life there. He is married and has a son.
