Last week, KWS was represented at the 76th North Dakota State Science & Engineering Fair (NDSSEF), where Stanley Nwade, Business Development Support Technician from our Business Development department, was invited to judge the junior and senior divisions. Held March 26–27, 2026, at the University of North Dakota’s Chester Fritz Library, the event featured an impressive range of student projects—from quantum energy and artificial intelligence to innovative water‑quality solutions. Agriculture was also strongly featured, with students exploring topics such as the cost‑effectiveness of Maternal Bovine Appeasing Substance (MBAS), comparing GMO and non‑GMO seed yields, and testing different LED lighting options for greenhouse production.
Reflecting on the experience, Stanley shared, “It was inspiring to see the creativity and curiosity these students brought to their work. Their projects show just how bright the future of science and engineering really is.” Several senior division winners will advance to the International Science and Engineering Fair, with final results still forthcoming.
The Business Development’s team’s involvement underscores the importance of KWS’s goal of supporting science‑driven, business‑minded development at every level. Encouraging research, analysis, and innovative thinking not only strengthens the agricultural industry but also fosters the next generation of problem solvers who will drive meaningful progress.
