CONVISO® SMART
SMART Crop Rotation
SMART Farmers have a SMART Crop Rotation!
A well-balanced crop rotation is the foundation for long-term productivity, not only for CONVISO® SMART, but across all crops. Rotating between a diverse mixture of spring and winter crops will give you the possibility for:
1. Reduced weed pressure
Alternating between winter and spring crops, as well as broadleaved crops and cereals, will prevent that single weed species become too dominant (and problematic).
A range of different crops can be grown after SMART beet, but it’s important to choose the correct one.
Which crops are suitable to grow in the rotation after
Crops
- Forage Brassica crops (incl. HT rape, forage rape and swede)
- Annual Ryegrass
- White clover

Prior to sowing/planting these crops, deep cultivation to 15 cm must be done.
In some situations, transient crop biomass reductions may be observed.
