FLAMINGO
Vigorous spring growth
- High gross output with exceptional oil
- Strong light leaf spot resistance
- Gold standard verticillium stem stripe tolerance
Characteristics
About
Flamingo is a high gross output variety that performs consistently well on farm. Its speed of growth at establishment makes Flamingo well suited to the mainstream drilling slot. It is a stiff variety with an upright growth habit. Flamingo has very vigorous spring growth, a trait that is important in crops with heavy cabbage stem flea beetle larval pressure. Flamingo has excellent resistance to light leaf spot (9) but stem canker is weaker, so it will respond well to a robust fungicide programme. Flamingo exhibits outstanding tolerance to verticillium stem stripe in both inoculated tests and in trials.
