About
KWS Fowlmere, a home-grown wheat from our breeding field trials in Fowlmere! A hard Group 4 winter wheat. KWS Fowlmere has had consistent high yields over the past 4 years. It is an excellent barn filling choice with outstanding grain quality including one of the highest specific weights on the market. With a -2 for maturity, this gives farmers a lot more flexibility on farm, being able to schedule harvest pressures to ensure a safe harvest. KWS Fowlmere also has a good untreated yield (88%). KWS Fowlmere has a solid disease package with scores of [7] for Fusarium, 6.1 for Septoria, 5 for Mildew and OWBM resistance, making this variety a good option for any farmer wanting a good all round barn filler. KWS Fowlmere also has fantastic grain quality for a hard group 4 wheat with an 79.8kg/hl specific weight, so for those that like KWS Dawsum but wanting more yield and OWBM, KWS Fowlmere is a fantastic option.
