3. Which personal data do we process when you register?
When you register for an event, we process your name, address and e-mail address.
4. For what purpose do we process the data?
The purpose of collecting your personal data is to plan and control the events and in particular check their scope and size and to ensure that they run smoothly. In particular, we need your e-mail address to be able to inform you in case of last-minute changes or cancellation of an event at short notice. Based on your registration for the event, we consider that you may reasonably expect to receive relevant information by post about KWS products and campaigns connected with the event or your expressed interests. We therefore use your name and address for this purpose.
5. On which legal basis do we process your data?
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR. The legitimate interest of KWS is to be able to plan and control events and to offer participants the service of informing them at short notice of any changes. Our legitimate interest is also to provide event participants with relevant information about KWS products and campaigns by post.
6. Where do we get personal information from?
We usually receive your personal data directly from you when you register for an event. We may also receive it from a person or organization registering on your behalf.
7. Who do we share information with?
We may share your personal data with KWS Group companies, service providers that support us in organising and managing the event, by providing IT and system support. They may only process personal data in accordance with our instructions and are contractually required to comply with applicable data protection requirements.
We may also share your personal data with courts, authorities or law firms where legally permitted and necessary to comply with applicable law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. Sharing information outside the UK
We may transfer your personal data outside the United Kingdom to KWS Group companies and service providers in the European Economic Area (EEA), including KWS Group companies in Germany that provide IT and system support. 9. How long do we store the data of our visitors?
We will delete your e-mail address after the event has ended, unless you have already provided us with your e-mail address in another context. Based on your registration for the event, we consider that you may reasonably expect to receive relevant information by post about KWS products and campaigns connected with the event or your expressed interests. We keep your name and address for this purpose until you inform us that you no longer wish to receive information by post or the data is no longer necessary.
