"KWS Aintree is the highest-yielding winter wheat on the 2026/27 AHDB Recommended List at 110% of controls and has delivered class-leading yields across regions and soil types for the past three years.
In trials, that has translated into yields up to 0.5t/ha higher than popular competitors. And those additional tonnes have a value," says National Sales Manager, Ryan Hyden.
Harvest 2026 results show that when comparing KWS Aintree's yield with the Group 4 hard control, at a wheat price of £190/t, the difference equates to an additional £106.40/ha.

KWS Aintree continues to deliver in 2026, and topping the provisional AHDB harvest results as the highest yielding recommended variety, at 108.3% of controls across 26 trials. With 24 of those sites showing an individual treated result above 105%, Aintree is demonstrating exceptional yield potential and consistency.
This performance builds on Aintree’s established yield record, with a 2022–26 mean of 107.9%, demonstrating that its strong 2026 results are not a one-season occurrence. Grain quality also remains encouraging, averaging 80.7 kg/hl specific weight across sixteen quality trials.
