    Scholarships

Our scholarships for students. Your focus on the essentials.

With our scholarships, we want to encourage and support committed people along their path into the future. Financial support is a critical first step. In addition, it is also important for us to provide our scholarship holders with special professional support.

For this reason, our scholarships always include a practice-oriented component. In this way you, as a scholarship holder, can gain valuable experience and specialist knowledge for your studies and entry into your future career.

The Ferdinand-von-Lochow scholarship

Ferdinand von Lochow was a pioneer in plant breeding; he was unconventional, creative and entrepreneurial. The idea behind this scholarship is to pass his values on to the pioneers of tomorrow. We offer the Ferdinand von Lochow scholarship at three locations:

  • People at KWS

The financial support from KWS is a fantastic thing. But the valuable practical experience I can accumulate here is priceless.

Scholarship for Germany

Since 2011, KWS awards a scholarship for Germany at the Georg-August University, Göttingen, and since 2016, also at the private Fachhochschule Göttingen. This scholarship programme supports students who demonstrate both convincing academic achievements and social commitment. This approach fits perfectly with KWS, because we are convinced that time needs to be allowed for activities and commitments in personal, as well as professional life.

You are:
- a student in Agricultural Sciences and Business Administration
- successful in studies
- socially active (sports club, fire brigade etc.)

We offer:
- a scholarship of €300 per month for 12 months
(€150 from KWS, €150 from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research)
- Participation in four workshops, which provide an insight into the work at KWS and the world of the profession
