Einbeck, 2025-10-06

It all began a quarter of a century ago with a simple idea: the empty walls of the newly constructed Biotechnikum (BiT) should be brought to life. In addition to the concept of giving new artists the opportunity to exhibit their work every four to five months, the transparent research building was intended to offer scientists the chance to engage with art – as a source of inspiration, a stimulus for reflection, and a prompt for a change in perspective. Since 1999, a total of 66 exhibitions by regional and international artists have been shown as part of the “Kunst im BiT” series.
