Once your application is submitted, you’ll receive an automatic confirmation email. From there, our recruiting team carefully reviews each application, looking at your experience, skills, and how they align with the role. If there’s a match, one of our recruiters will reach out to schedule a first call.

This initial conversation is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your motivation, relevant experience, and what excites you about joining KWS. It’s also your opportunity to ask questions and see if we’re the right fit for you.

The call usually lasts between 20 and 45 minutes—and we’re looking forward to learning more about you.

Let’s Meet

Depending on the role and location, you may be invited to a video or on-site interview. This is your opportunity to connect with the hiring manager, potential team members, and someone from HR. The conversation typically lasts between 30 and up to 90 minutes and focuses more deeply on your expertise and professional experience.

We want this to be a two-way exchange. You’ll share your skills, achievements, and how you align with our values—like teamwork, inclusion, and customer focus. At the same time, you’ll learn more about the role, the team, and the challenges and opportunities ahead. Feel free to ask questions and explore whether KWS is the right place for you. The STAR-Method can help you prepare examples (Situation, Task, Action, Result).

Individual Assessment Center

For some positions, especially in leadership, we may invite you to an individual assessment center. If this applies to your role, we’ll let you know during the first call. These sessions—virtual or on-site—typically last 1 to 3 hours and give you the chance to demonstrate your leadership skills in front of a small group, including managers, team members, and HR.

Our HR Administration team will guide you through all the details—from your contract to your start date—so you can begin your journey with confidence.

Can I apply for multiple positions at the same time?

Yes, you can apply for more than one role.

We recommend focusing on 2–3 positions that truly match your interests and strengths. This shows clarity and determination. Applying for too many roles at once may dilute your message.

Does KWS have a dress code?

Generally business casual is standard for interviews. Please make sure to present your best self during an interview.

In your future role, it depends: office and labs lean business casual, while production and field roles require dedicated workwear.

How and where can I check my current status of the application?

When will you hear from us?

After you submit your application, our recruiting team reviews it manually. We aim to get back to you as soon as possible—but please keep in mind that our recruiters manage multiple vacancies and coordinate internally, which can take time.

Rule of thumb: You’ll usually hear from us within a few weeks. If it takes a bit longer, don’t worry—we haven’t forgotten you. Thanks for your patience!

What documents should I include in my application?

A CV is required for all applications. Depending on the role, we may also ask for a cover letter or certificates—please check the job ad for details. You’re welcome to include a cover letter if you’d like to highlight something specific or explain parts of your CV.
