Record attendance at the KULTURKRAFTTAGE at PS.SPEICHER

Einbeck, 24.08.2023

The 3rd KULTURKRAFTTAGE in Einbeck ended with a record number of visitors: From 14 to 17 March 2024, more than 1,500 guests came to the PS.SPEICHER to be enchanted and inspired by outstanding artists in Europe's largest classic car museum.

A particularly rich and varied programme was offered over four days: jazz rhythms were on offer as well as contemporary poetry, new music and hits from the 1920s and 1930s. For the first time, visitors were able to get in the mood for the coming days with a CULTURAL POWER HOUR on the day before the opening in the PS.SPEICHER forum.

The Cuban pianist Marialy Pacheco and the Moroccan percussionist Rhani Krija brought a lot of musical joie de vivre to the PS.SPEICHER forum with several of the Cuban's own fast-paced compositions at the KULTURKRAFTSTUNDE. Norwegian jazz singer Silje Nergaard and her guitar duo (Håvar Bendikson and Hallgrim Bratberg) enchanted their guests in the opening concert with melodic, soulful ballads and rousing jazz interludes. In the Blue Hour, the well-known actor Dietmar Bär and the up-and-coming young trio KLANGSPEKTRUM (accordion, violoncello and clarinet) mesmerised the audience with words and sounds. Ulrich Tukur & Die Rhythmus Boys enthralled the audience with hits from the 1920s and 1930s, many exciting stories, poems and wonderfully quirky dance interludes during the Late Night. As a permanent feature of the KULTURKRAFTTAGE, Julia Hansen and Heikko Deutschmann concluded this year's Sunday matinee together with musicians Rhani Krija, Thomas Zander (saxophone) and Jörg Siebenhaar under the title "The Little Prince - Saint-Exupéry meets Jazz".

"We are delighted that so many people came to celebrate another wonderful festival of language, music and encounters with us. The fact that the KULTURKRAFTSTUNDE was also so well received is a clear sign: We are on the right track!" summarises Julia Hansen, Artistic Director of the KULTURKRAFTTAGE. Filled with positive vibes, the festival is already looking confidently to next year, when the 4th KULTURKRAFTTAGE will take place from 20 to 23 March 2025. KWS sees the KULTURKRAFTTAGE as a special enrichment for the region and was therefore also a sponsor of the festival in the PS.SPEICHER in Einbeck for the third year. Art and culture are not only an expression of creativity and individuality, but also drivers of innovation and progress.

"Culture is what connects us as humanity and helps us to find a common language, regardless of our differences."
