The impressive exhibition “On Stage” by internationally renowned artist Luzia Simons at the Biotechnikum (BiT) of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck is drawing to a close. On April 8, 2025, KWS invites the public to the finissage, offering art enthusiasts a final opportunity to experience the fascinating works of the Brazilian artist. The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Biotechnikum, including an artist talk at 5 p.m. with art historian Dr. Bettina Ruhrberg. Admission is free, but registration is recommended.
Since November 2024, Luzia Simons has transformed the BiT into a stage of nature with her large-format scanograms. Her works, which use an innovative technique to turn real flower arrangements into digital artworks, uniquely capture the beauty and transience of nature. Particularly striking are the opulent tulip and chrysanthemum compositions from her “Stockage” series, which impress with their precision and sensual impact.
“The finissage is a wonderful opportunity to see Luzia Simons’ work at the BiT once more and to learn more about her ideas on the theme of nature. She recently spent several weeks in São Paulo, where she studied the tropical garden of the private home of innovative architect Lina Bo Bardi. Many new works were created there, which she will talk about,” says Dr. Bettina Ruhrberg, art historian and director of the Mönchehaus Museum Goslar. Following a brief address, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition, accompanied by a small reception.
All interested parties are warmly invited to attend the finissage. Due to limited space, registration is requested by April 7, 2025, via email to kunst@kws.com.
