Evan Ifekoya – The Archive Is An Altar
Evan Ifekoya received the Kaiserring Scholarship 2025. Ifekoya works at the intersection of art and spirituality, drawing on the wisdom of the Yorùbá tradition in Nigeria. In a continuous process of transformation, archiving, and inner reflection, Ifekoya connects past and present, ritual and reality. The multimedia installations create atmospheric spaces in which memory remains alive, sound has a liberating effect, and cultural forms of expression become sources of healing.
