Philipp Stöckel explores the pursuit of happiness, self-optimization, and the striving for perfection in a society shaped by digital imagery.

Evan Ifekoya, recipient of the Kaiserring Scholarship 2025, works at the intersection of art and spirituality, drawing on the wisdom of Yorùbá tradition in Nigeria. In a continuous process of transformation, archiving, and inner reflection, Ifekoya weaves together past and present, ritual and reality.

Andre Germar uses the technique of photograms to create cyanotypes of fences. The photographer and artist works directly with light and shadow to make their structures visible in an abstract form in bright blue.

In the exhibition "PRACTICALLY (IM)POSSIBLE", Kati von Schwerin shows current works from two topics that could not be more different. Sober and nostalgic technical devices from the era of Dieter Rams hang frame to frame with lively-looking robins and great tits.

Maxim Gunga explores the interplay between city and countryside in his paintings. With powerful brushstrokes, he takes up the tradition of Neo-Expressionism and develops his own new pictorial language in oil on canvas.

Daria Koltsova, winner of the Kaiserring Scholarship 2024, is a Ukrainian who deals intensively with the war in her home country. She creates sculptures using materials such as glass and metal, which she assembles into moving installations. These works tell her personal story and create impressive metaphors for destruction, resilience and hope.

Nature serves Maria Trezinski as inspiration for her paintings. She uses the shift in scale of her pictorial motifs and transports us into a world that normally remains hidden or is even instinctively avoided.

The unusual perspective creates a fascinating attraction to what is actually repulsive.

Surrounded by the Hubewald forest, with a view of Einbeck's rooftops, they let the colors dance on canvas and paper during a creative workshop weekend in June and tested a wide range of creative possibilities in a playful and experimental way.

The diverse results will be presented in the NEWCOMER KWS Art Lounge from August 8.

Starting August 6, the English artist Hannah Byford will provide us with intimate insights and critically question our previous stereotypes of gender roles. Byford's claim to depict conditions as truthfully and accurately as possible exposes the currently predominant idealized representation of our environment and thus reveals the social impact of visual worlds.
