...agriculture and independence

We share a special characteristic with farmers: independence. That is an invaluable asset. Thanks to our proximity to agriculture, we know the challenges they face as independent entrepreneurs. We always keep this understanding and our respect for their situation and their daily work in mind. We have been working with them as independent, reliable partner for 170 years. Our focus is always on the current and future challenges that need to be solved.

...the diversity of the portfolio

It all started with sugarbeet in 1856, and sugarbeet remains a central pillar of KWS's success today. But over the decades, we have added other important crops to our portfolio and have continued to grow. Today, our four business units are advancing around 20 crops with their own breeding programs. This gives KWS a unique portfolio and a broad genetic pool from which our breeders can draw. With our vision, we are constantly finding solutions to the challenges facing agriculture.

...the importance of the KWS brand

The value of our brand lies in gaining and maintaining the trust of our customers. It is built on performance and habit. Before people trust products or services, they must appreciate their benefits and become accustomed to them. Our range of services, the color orange, and an attractive brand image form the decisive foundation for this. But only if we maintain a consistent global presence over a long period of time will we achieve a high level of recognition. This is an important prerequisite for farmers to not only keep KWS in mind when deciding on varieties, but to make us their first choice.
