How to make stakeholder involvement a success

Location: Room A, Plenum BIT EG
Host: Markus Sinz, Founder & Managing Director, Apadua

Working in teams has brought us to where we are today as a society & economy. However, organizations still struggle to work together efficiently. Often, conflicts of interest and other typical symptoms of asymmetric cooperation lead to failure. In this workshop, we'll pick up the most important aspects of stakeholder engagement, especially for project work.

We'll guide you through both successful and unsuccessful efforts, discussing the insights gained.

Workshop B:
ESG Trade Compliance

Time: 09.00 – 10.30

Location: Room B, Plenum BIT EG

Host: Stephan Freismuth, Director, Indirect Tax Services, Trade & Customs, KPMG AG

The new ESG trade compliance requirements pose a significant challenge for EU companies engaged in cross-border trade of goods. Comprehensive transparency regarding supply chains and the flow of goods is essential to meet sustainability standards, as access to the EU internal market depends on it. Violations of these compliance requirements can not only jeopardize market access but also lead to significant sanctions, as outlined in regulations such as the EU Deforestation Regulation, which stipulates a penalty of at least 4% of annual turnover for non-compliance.
